This kit includes four experiments in which students learn to characterize fingerprints and investigate direct, latent, and plastic prints. Includes using the Lugol’s iodine method, cyanoacrylate fuming, casting prints, clay impressions, and fingerprint inking for identification. Allow 2 hours for experimentation. Includes instructor’s manual with reproducible student instructions and worksheets. Note: cyanoacrylate fuming requires a chemical fume hood. This Dustless Fingerprints kit is designed for 24 students working in groups of four.
